Momoka's IH San Diego Experience July 21 - August 13, 2017

I've learned and experienced so much at IH San Diego.  In school, I could make friends from all over the world.  They were very friendly and kind.  They always helped me whenever I had anything I didn't understand.  Also, teacher and school staff taught me a lot of things and supported me.  So, I could spend comfortable and good time.  In addition, I enjoyed many kinds of activities.  They were very good experiences for me and became good memories.

In the homestay, I enjoyed talking and watching movies with my host family.  My host father took me to the beach and showed me how to surf on weekends.  I was able to experience the culture of USA.  So, I had a great time with my host family.

Finally, I enjoyed studying abroad.  I couldn't speak English well, but thanks to school staff, teachers, friends, and my host family's support, I really enjored learning English.  So, I enjoy speaking English more than before.  I'm glad to have studied at IH San Diego.

It was my first time to study abroad to US. I have studied for one month in IH San Diego. When class first began, I was very concerned.  But I was able to experience so much. I made a lot of friends.  My friends and my teacher s were very friendly and kind. They helped me every day. And also I felt encouraged and comfortable because there was a Japanese staff member at IH San Diego. It has been a long time since I studied English last time. But it was very fun. I hung out with my friends after school every day. We went to sightseeing, for example to LA and so on… I took a part in school activities many times. We went to Sea World, Disneyland, and the San Diego zoo…so many places! The staff asked me to pick any places where I want to go, so I could visit various places. Yukina's experience at IH San Diego

Short, 4 week study abroad program in San Diego 日本語は下  ↓ ↓ International House On our first day, we take a placement test to determine our level and to find which class is the best fit for us. Our teachers speak to us very kindly and patiently. Although my English level is still fairly low, and there are many things that I wasn’t able to understand, when I would ask my teacher in class a question they would very politely teach me the answer.  Because of this, I was able to learn many new vocabulary and the meanings of new sentence structures. I learned that for the things I didn't understand, it was important to not be shy and to ask questions.  Using new language as much as possible through everyday conversation is very important. Sota's experience August 7 - Sept. 15

I graduated from this school and I could learn a and experience a lot of things about English and America. And I met many friends who are friendly and wonderful. When I came to school for first day, I didn’t know what I should do, but school’s staff taught me kindly and then school’s student said me “Take your time” when I couldn’t speak English well. Whenever something happened, everyone helped me. So I could spend my time pleasantly and comfortably here. In activity, it was a very fulfilling content. I enjoyed many kinds of activities. Especially I think Surf lesson was the best thing. I could know San Diego much through activities. I found there is good weather and many beaches in San Diego. In homestay, I could spend comfortably. The dishes my host mother made were so delicious and healthy. And she has a dog and two cats. I played a lot with them.
